back from camp pinnacle
okay. i know that this is a very late post
but its better than nothing
1st day
damn boring day. had opening address then went for the leader heritage tour which is very boring cos i already went there during spec course
the highlight of the day was the infantry gunnery tactical system.
its like a simulator thing for the soldiers to train lor.
cos singapore dont have much land to practise the shooting stuff.
i must say its impressive. but i dont have interest in weapons stuff..
the worse part is that i got seperated from shunjie &derek.
they were in hotel 2 and i was in juliet 5.
sad case la. i was so lonely and quiet.
my platoon dont have many west district people.
im the only girl from west district i think. so sian.
hate camps where i dont know anyone..
2nd day
went to Singapore Youth Flying Club
its cool man.
those who are interested in flying listen up.
you can get your private pilot license for free at SYFC
cool right.
just bring your prelim results to SYFC and go for an interview i think
there are some requirements of course
which i cant meet. cos im too short ):
but those who are interested and meet the requirements should really go for it
flying is nice
especially if its free
haha. yes, the course is FREE
heard its sponsored by RSAF
we went for a tour around SYFC
i think some of the people there are a little cocky
thats just my opinion la
anyway, i dont have interest in flying so the tour was just another boring activity
they gave us freebies. how nice
its a badge and a file with newsletter inside
nothing much
okay, i sound like an auntie interested in freebies
im not okay !
3rd day
interesting day
went for a familiarisation flight on the C130
be jealous of me
its cool to see the airplane take off
they didnt fly too high and you can see buildings and buildings of singapore
the best part is when you stand at the cockpit
when you look up, you see clouds
when you look down, you see singapore
awesome man
went to the airforce museum afterwards
again, no interest..
and they had this mini quiz for each platoon
so we had to go around the museum to look for answers
boring again
had camp pinnacle night
juliet 5's performance is awesome!
i know everyone thinks so too
so proud of our performance
bcos we executed our plan by ourselves without the help of our CLTs
and we can come up with such nice performance
at first i was worried that it wont be a success cos there are too many leaders
each having so many things to say
talk and no action
but it went very smoothly
we had dikir barat followed by the edited 12days of christmas. we changed it to 5days of camp pin. so nice. and lastly, we sang 'my love' by westlife together.
nice and touching
love it
i found the other platoon's performance rather boring
some were not coordinated while some doesnt involve everyone
the CLT's performance werent that nice either
its just entertaining to some horny people
haha. but its an eye opener for me
this day was also the day where i got to know my platoon mates
i suddenly became famous overnight because of someone in our platoon
didnt expect it at all
but its a good thing la
got friends to talk to ma
and i learnt many lame jokes
i am going to try it on people next time
muhahaha
4th day
went to the naval diving unit
its impressive i tell you
after seeing those people dive, i feel like going for the NCC diving course too
its so fun
hope got time next year
its a 2-3 weeks course
i think going to the naval diving unit is the best out of the 5days in camp
we went to sit this speedboat
dont really know whats that called
but its super fun
i want to ride it again!
went to the naval base after lunch
i find their presentation interesting
its definitely worth going to
we even have snacks
but i didnt eat much though
actually we were supposed to go on board the ship
but it was raining so it was cancelled
so sad
but at least we got something to take back
navy is good man
i love the notebook they gave..
and there's a file, highlighters and a pen
but i lost that pen
5th day
last day! i cant believe i survived 5days in camp la
its the longest camp i ever had
i cant believe i wanted to go home as soon as possible on the first day
because i didnt feel like leaving anymore
5days with my platoon mates
though we just knew each other for 5days, i feel bonded with them already
camp pinnacle is definitely a camp to go for
i have no regrets going for it.
went to the survival village.
but cant talk about it
its not allowed
so sad
but its definitely something to remember
disgusting but i learnt a lot from it
camp pinnacle is not just a camp to get this badge ^
along with this badge, you get friendship and an experience that you cannot find anywhere else
also, camp pinnacle is a slack camp
its fun although sometimes you get irritated by the fact that some jokers are playing around in a file.
but camp pin is a camp to remember
went out for dinner with platoon mates after camp
first time went out with platoon mates for dinner after camp la
usually i just go home one
but this time quite bonded to them
so go eat with them lor
we had 11 people with us
damn cool la
next time dont have chance to experience this anymore liao..
